Rite of Morning

 

Between the new day dawning and the midday blaze,

Let the pious approach the holy altar.

Let the pious sate the altar with a life offering.

Let the pious give a gift of love to the altar,

For it is the outstretched hand of the First.

Now then must the pious summon forth the revelation

The altar waits to wake and give.
