a crumbling papyrus scroll

The papyrus scroll reads:

The First has said:

"While you are, so must we be. When you are not, we can be not. When you are of us and all is of us, then you will be not. And when we are not, we will not have been."

"Let the sleeper sleep, and the dreamer dream no more."

We know this to mean the dream must end. Only the First may bring its end. Wait. Wait. Believe and follow. But do not call.

To call the First is to wish him to be, and this is contrary to the will of Grigoros.
